For most of us, Christmas will be about spending time with our loved ones and celebrating with good food. But for some families there’s a real choice between eating or putting the heating on…
So for this year’s Christmas fundraising activity we collected for Crewe and Nantwich foodbanks who are expecting at least 60,000 people, including 20,000 children, to use their service over the festive period. Staff were invited to wear their Christmas jumpers to work for the day and to bring in one or more items from a set ‘shopping list’ containing food items idea for donation.
Response to the campaign was fantastic, with 15 bags and 2 crates of food donated by colleagues throughout the local area. This is certain to make a difference to local families in need this Christmas.
