As we get older our bodies need to work harder to keep warm. It is important to wrap up warm when going outside. It is recommended that you layer clothing such as hats, gloves, thick socks, scarves and coats. Try wrapping a scarf around your face before you go out in the cold. It’ll warm up the cold air before you breathe it in and can help to reduce the risk of chest infections.
During the colder weather please ensure you are sitting a safe distance away from fires, log burners and halogen heaters when using your oxygen. Our recommendation is three metres away from open fires and 1.5 metres away from radiators and central heating.
