Cylinders
Oxygen cylinders contain medical grade oxygen. A patient may have a larger cylinder for use in the home or as a back-up to a concentrator machine, or smaller portable cylinders to help them get out and about.
This is the largest oxygen cylinder available and is provided mainly as a back-up supply for use in the event of a power cut or concentrator failure. This oxygen cylinder is not intended for use as a portable cylinder. As a back-up cylinder it should be within easy reach.
The duration of this oxygen cylinder varies according to the flow rate setting. The duration varies from 2 hours 21 minutes (at 15 litres per minute) to 70 hours, 44 minutes (at 0.5 litres per minute).
