Flying

Our oxygen equipment is for use within the UK only.

Are you fit to fly? You should always speak to your GP or healthcare team before planning a flight; they may ask you to complete a flight assessment which will determine if you are able to fly and how much oxygen you may need whilst you are in the air.

If you need oxygen during a flight, we recommend that you always speak to the medical officer of the airline you are flying with. It could be that you have to pay for an oxygen supply when you are flying, but this depends on the individual company, the medical officer will confirm this when you speak to them.

Further advice on flying can be obtained from the European Lung Foundation website, http://www.europeanlung.org/en/lung-disease-and-information/air-travel/airline-index/
