Ordering / Removal

For a patient to receive oxygen from Baywater Healthcare, a Healthcare Professional will need to complete a Home Oxygen Order Form (HOOF). The HOOF will indicate what type of oxygen therapy the patient needs based on an assessment of their condition and understanding of their lifestyle. Once the HOOF has been received, Baywater Healthcare will arrange for one of our Healthcare Technicians to deliver the oxygen equipment to the patient. The HOOF is valid until changed or cancelled by a GP or respiratory specialist.

Reordering oxygen by telephone

Patients can simply call us between 8.00am and 6.30pm, any day, for next day deliveries. All orders (except emergency orders) received outside of this timeframe will be processed on the next working day.

Orders in the North West are processed Monday to Friday for delivery on the next weekday.

Removal of an oxygen supply

If the oxygen equipment is no longer required by the patient then a removal request must be faxed on 0800 214709  stating which equipment needs to be removed, this should be on headed paper and signed by a qualified Healthcare Professional.

If the patient has deceased then a call can be made by the family, carers or Healthcare Professional to our Healthcare Helpline on 0800 373 580 to arrange removal.

WHAT TO DO IF A PATIENT IS MOVING HOUSE

If a patient is moving house, please ask them to call our Healthcare Helpline on 0800 373 580 and we will organise everything with them over the phone. Please inform us two weeks in advance of any permanent change of address.

Cylinder Retrieval Scheme/Orphaned Gas Cylinder: Baywater Healthcare and Air Products Medical Oxygen Cylinders only

We take the advice by the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) extremely seriously and have a retrieval process for cylinders containing gas (or apparently empty) that are found.

If Baywater or Air Products medical oxygen cylinders containing gas or empty, that are not in use by a patient, are found then please phone: 01270 218050. Our healthcare helpline advisers will arrange for our retrieval services to collect the cylinder/s.

Cylinders containing gases (or which are apparently empty) can present considerable risk of fire, especially at civic amenity sites and metal recyclers. Cylinders must be disposed of through our retrieval scheme.

    We deliver seven days a week outside of the North West and Monday to Friday in the North West (seven-day service coming to North West patients in Spring 2021).
